• Hey guys,

    Sorry, another question I can't seem to find a articulate reply to.

    For the longest time I thought that the setting in Theme Options > Performance "Custom Font Brandish Behaviour" enabled swap for fonts on the site. But reading the description more carefully, and examining code it seems clear it only affects custom fonts and icon fonts – only non the regular fonts used site wide.

    And then when I audit the headers of enfold sites, I never see a font-display:swap setting. Rather I just meet something similar:

    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family unit=Playfair+Display:400,700%7COpen+Sans:400,600" id="avia-google-webfont">

    and looking at the CSS I can only find the font-display setting applied to the icon font.

    If I am understanding this correctly, it would be really nifty to include the font-display settings for heading/torso fonts as well (maybe in the new typography section?)

    Thanks

    Tim

    Hi,
    Thank you for the login, this issue with this css:

                          .tribe-events-content ol,.tribe-events-content p,.tribe-events-content ul,.tribe-common .tribe-common-b2 {     font-family: Open Sans:400,600,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;     font-size: 15px; }

    is that the font Open Sans should have quotes effectually information technology and not include the numbers like this:

                          .tribe-events-content ol,.tribe-events-content p,.tribe-events-content ul,.tribe-common .tribe-common-b2 {     font-family: 'Open Sans',Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;     font-size: 15px; }

    I couldn't find where this was loading from to correct, I recollect it's from the plugin, but this css should right, effort adding this css to your kid theme:

                          #tribe-events-pg-template .tribe-events-content ol,#tribe-events-pg-template .tribe-events-content p,#tribe-events-pg-template .tribe-events-content ul,#tribe-events-pg-template .tribe-common .tribe-common-b2 {     font-family: 'Open Sans',Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;     font-size: 15px; }

    After applying the css, delight articulate your browser enshroud and check.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    I'm trying to foreclose Google fonts from loading.

    This code is in my header and I don't know where it comes from:

                          if( allow_continue ) 					{ 						var f = document.createElement('link'); 					 						f.type 	= 'text/css'; 						f.rel 	= 'stylesheet'; 						f.href 	= '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans+Condensed:300,700%7COpen+Sans:400,600'; 						f.id 	= 'avia-google-webfont';  						document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(f); 					} 				})();

    I have read of other solutions to disable Roboto from Google Maps, nevertheless, I take disabled Google Maps and my issue is with Open up Sans and Open Sans Condensed.

    Give thanks you
    Jon

    How-do-you-do

    I would like to add actress bold on some h1-h3 headings. Tried using Avanced Styling and changing the font weight to 800 at that place but it does non modify annihilation.
    By default it seems that Enfold only loads font weight 400 and 600 from google apis.

    This is default: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family unit=Open+Sans:400,600
    I would like to change information technology then Enfold load this file instead: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open up+Sans:400,600,800

    Where do I change this without adding extra css code or having to upload the font in total via Custom Font Managing director (which sits at 200kb when using zip upload.) The page in total is 287 kb so uploading a font just for boosted extra assuming and 200 kb extra folio size does non make any sense.

    Waiting for some help what do to adjacent here =)

    I have the exact same issue:
    From GTMetrix:
    The post-obit resources have identical contents, only are served from different URLs. Serve these resources from a consistent URL to save 1 request(s) and 2.4KiB.

    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans
    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open up+Sans&ver=5.5.1
    The following resource take identical contents, simply are served from unlike URLs. Serve these resource from a consistent URL to save i request(southward) and 2.1KiB.

    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Josefin+Sans%3A400%2C600&ver=five.5.1
    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Josefin+Sans:400,600
    The following resource accept identical contents, but are served from different URLs. Serve these resources from a consequent URL to save i asking(due south) and ane.5KiB.

    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato%3A400%2C700&ver=five.5.one
    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato:400,700

    I don't know how to implement the prepare suggested.

    The title font on the App demo looks terrible (check "Lorem ipsum dolor" right under the header image) in Firefox, Net Explorer and Edge but looks fine in Chrome.

    The issue seems to be with the font weight, setting it to anything lower than 600 fixes the problem. Chrome seems to exist ameliorate at automatically making a font bolder than the other browsers.

    The problem seems to stalk from the URL used to load the two fonts (Quicksand for titles, Open Sans for text) which simply loads multiple weights for the second linguistic communication (Open Sans) but not for Quicksand.

    URL: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Quicksand%7COpen+Sans:400,600

    If I add together the weights to Quicksand as well the browsers utilize the right font and the text looks neat.

    Fixed URL: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family unit=Quicksand:400,600%7COpen+Sans:400,600 (added ":400,600" after Quicksand)

    Weirdly, the 2017 and Elegant demos both load the two fonts with specified weights (due east.g. https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family unit=Playfair+Display:400,700%7COpen+Sans:400,600).
    The One Page Portfolio also doesn't define weights for the get-go font merely it nonetheless looks fine. So peradventure it'south as well a trouble with the "Quicksand" font.

    okay, then, in case this might be helpful to others, and since i wanted to run across a preview of all the options myself, i went ahead & searched'n'selected on google fonts all that'south in the Enfold > Full general Styling > Fonts choice.
    there were three exceptions: Droid Sans, Droid Serif, & Terminal Dosis could not exist plant.
    other than those, this link will open the 89 others (along with the various weights chosen for them, according to the Enfold selection list (in code view).

    Google Fonts Pick Preview

    i am curious tho – how did you guys come up up with this option to include in the theme & why not include all their weights?

    lastly, IMHO if y'all're gonna have a selection of fonts for us to choose from and then information technology would exist most helpful to provide a preview of what those fonts expect like. -ii¢

    I did send yous some other link in the meantime … (attached again in private) delight try the one I send you last and I.g sorry but your anwser is not helping …

    Like I said:
    1) I did upload the google font: wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open-sans/opensans-light.ttf
    2) All the styles are put in correct in the css file (as yous mentioned yourself)
    3 Nevertheless non showing Open up Sans 300!!!

    By Default the theme apparently but loads:
    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway%7COpen+Sans:400,600
    (not my settings! these are Enfold's)

    So I would similar to know:
    Either on how to include 300 in the google apis link in the head (preferably!!!)
    OR
    How to load the link from the typ_font folder of Wp content

    Should be unproblematic (information technology's a font)

    Please log in again and try, Ik can log in with the credentials I gave you,
    Thanks

    enfold login victoria succes

    the best sollution, in my opinion is to alter the GET: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway%7COpen+Sans:400,600
    into only 300 (I don't need the 400 and 600 which gives actress unwanted loading time anyhow)
    so into: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family unit=Raleway%7COpen+Sans:300
    How do I practise that?

    I know information technology shows exactly that, but the font shown on the website is Not 300! Bank check the H1 for instance, the Title on all the pages (example: New Arrivals) This is nog 300!

    I made a new user for y'all, details attached

    like I said, it looks like it is not loading the 300 version from the root file (instead only the link to the Googleapis.com):
    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway%7COpen+Sans:400,600

    Later reading many threads on this, yet found no working solution of showing the lighter version of the Open Sans font

    I did upload the font and I've checked information technology, information technology's here:
    wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open-sans/opensans-low-cal.ttf

    In the advanced styling I take given H1 font family Open Sans and weight: 300
    I also tried to give information technology the way: calorie-free
    I take also tried unlike settings in de CSS (all options mentioned in your threads)

    When I look at inspecter the styles are all defined properly but loading of the 300 version seem to miss here:
    GEThttps://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family unit=Raleway%7COpen+Sans:400,600

    Patently the font isn't loaded locally?

    Is there a sollution to this?
    Give thanks yous

    (PS seeing the number of problems with this, isn't it a idea to add together the open sans 300 font standard? I suppose it is THE reason to use this font anyway, considering of its thin looks)

    Dear Back up,

    I am using my shop-website (woocommerce) only for displaying download links.
    I made information technology via an enfold child-theme.

    Products by Aspect works well on the shop and category pages but not on a decent page.
    Information technology's neither showing in the sidebar nor in a custom widget area.

    It's a simple page fabricated with the advanced editor.

    That's my functions.php

    Is it so, that the Filter "Products by Attribute" is only working on shop-pages/category-pages?
    I would similar to have the advantages of an enfold-layout and the features of woocommerce.

    Cheers in advance!

    I have a site that'due south having speed issues = https://www.yourfriendinreykjavik.com

    One of the problems is Enfold seems to load the Font before anything else

    Your folio has ane blocking CSS resource. This causes a delay in rendering your folio.

    Benchmarks
    None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resource to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources straight in the HTML.

    Optimize CSS Delivery of the following:

    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:400,600

    Is at that place any way to fix this event?

    Hi Victoria,

    I'm sure id know if it was my internet connectedness. Any manner speed test results shared privately.

    As I was very specific with my browser versions and operating system – I should inquire you what is your test surroundings? Every bit I have proven that it exists in two OSX operating systems on Chrome and Firefox.

    I added the preconnect to the <head> in the child theme caput.php

                          <link blazon="text/css" rel="preconnect" href="//fonts.gstatic.com/css?family=Lato:300,400,700%7COpen+Sans:400,600" id="avia-google-webfont" crossorigin="anonymous">

    Withal, this had no effect on the FOUT.

    I also edited the parent theme ENFOLD > framework > php > class-manner-generator.php
    Lines 495 – 498 to the following:

                                                  f.type 	= 'text/css'; f.rel 	= 'preconnect'; f.href 	= '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=".apply_filters('avf_google_fontlist', $this->google_fontlist)."'; f.id 	= 'avia-google-webfont'; f.crossOrigin = 'anonymous';

    However, this did not piece of work either, as the rel=stylesheet was not alleged on the font <a href and the theme did not change the fonts.

    I as well downloaded the fonts from google to host locally. Importing the fonts into Enfold ( https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/typography/#how-to-upload-custom-fonts ) nonetheless, over again this had no upshot on the FOUT in Chrome and Firefox.

    Interesting enough, the FOUT does not occur in any Safari browser. regardless of load speed (throttled)

    I take also provided a link to an additional video of the FOUT in FIREFOX

    FYI

    https://developers.google.com/fonts/docs/technical_considerations

    Technical Considerations
    Google Chrome
    Chrome renders the balance of the page, just until the font has loaded, information technology displays a blank space in identify of the text that uses the font.

    Mozilla Firefox
    Firefox get-go displays the text in the default font, so re-renders text in the font once it has loaded. This behavior is known as a "flash of unstyled text."

    Apple Safari
    Safari renders the rest of the page, merely until the font has loaded, it displays a blank space in place of the text that uses the font.

    you tin can make your own predefined color-scheme past adding some lawmaking to your child-theme functions.php:
    All manual – but y'all got your own style and can transform this to other installations if you like

    Hey ykaralis,

    1) You tin can use this lawmaking to overwrite the default font configuration:

                                                  add_filter( 'avf_google_heading_font',  'avia_add_content_font'); add_filter( 'avf_google_content_font',  'avia_add_content_font'); function avia_add_content_font($fonts) {     $fonts['Open up Sans'] = 'Open Sans:400,600';     $fonts['Quicksand'] = 'Quicksand:300,400';     return $fonts; }

    Replace the values (400,600 and 300,400) with your custom values; multiple values can be separated with a comma. Yous can add this code to your child theme functions.php.

    2)

    After importing Quicksand and Open Sans fonts, how can I brand sure that the website will always utilize them and not something that the site might not be allowed to get from Google? For Open Sans in item, in that location is an extra problem: after importing the font using a null file from Google Fonts, the font-family unit is registered every bit "open up-sans" which would make it unusable.

    As before long as you import a font file Enfold will simply utilise the local font files (saved on your server) and won't load the files from a google server. I.east. if you import the open sans font files Enfold generates following css lawmaking and adds information technology to the dynamical styleheet:

                                                  @font-confront{ font-family:'open-sans'; src:url('https://mywebite.com/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open-sans/opensans-bold.ttf') format('truetype'); font-style:normal; font-weight:700; }  @font-face{ font-family:'open-sans'; src:url('https://mywebite.com/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open-sans/opensans-bolditalic.ttf') format('truetype'); font-style:italic;font-weight:700; }  @font-confront{ font-family unit:'open-sans'; src:url('https://mywebite.com/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open-sans/opensans-extrabold.ttf') format('truetype'); font-style:normal; font-weight:800}  @font-face up{ font-family:'open-sans'; src:url('https://mywebite.com/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open-sans/opensans-extrabolditalic.ttf') format('truetype'); font-way:italic; font-weight:800; }  @font-confront{ font-family:'open-sans'; src:url('https://mywebite.com/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open-sans/opensans-italic.ttf') format('truetype'); font-fashion:italic; font-weight:400; }  @font-face up{ font-family:'open-sans'; src:url('https://mywebite.com/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open-sans/opensans-light.ttf') format('truetype'); font-style:normal; font-weight:300; }  @font-face{ font-family unit:'open-sans'; src:url('https://mywebite.com/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open-sans/opensans-lightitalic.ttf') format('truetype'); font-style:italic; font-weight:300; }  @font-confront{ font-family unit:'open-sans'; src:url('https://mywebite.com/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open up-sans/opensans-regular.ttf') format('truetype'); font-fashion:normal; font-weight:400; }  @font-face{ font-family:'open up-sans'; src:url('https://mywebite.com/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open up-sans/opensans-semibold.ttf') format('truetype'); font-way:normal; font-weight:600; }  @font-face{ font-family unit:'open-sans'; src:url('https://mywebite.com/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/type_fonts/open-sans/opensans-semibolditalic.ttf') format('truetype'); font-style:italic; font-weight:600; }

    This lawmaking is generated automatically based on the google fonts zip file yous uploaded. You tin can't modify the lawmaking but y'all could overwrite it with custom css code.

    All-time regards,
    Dude

    (I'm using Enfold v.four.four.ane and take imported the Enfold App demo.)

    1ST QUESTION
    Primarily, I would like to change the font subsets loaded by the "google webfont font replacement" script. Currently it loads using this Google API call:
    fonts.googleapis.com/css?family unit=Quicksand%7COpen+Sans:400,600
    but this doesn't load the bold version of Quicksand and I would also like to use for Open Sans bold the version with weight 700.
    Q: How can I change the above call to:
    fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Quicksand:300,500%7COpen+Sans:400,700

    2ND QUESTION
    The "google webfont font replacement" script checks if it is allowed to load fonts from Google based on the value of a cookie. If the user doesn't have the cookie, the website will render with other fonts which I don't desire to.
    Q: After importing Quicksand and Open Sans fonts, how can I make sure that the website will always employ them and not something that the site might not be allowed to go from Google? For Open up Sans in particular, there is an extra problem: afterward importing the font using a cipher file from Google Fonts, the font-family is registered as "open-sans" which would make it unusable. How can I change this to "Open Sans" (which is used past CSS)?

    Cheers in advance for your help!

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

    That is actually how information technology's supposed to work. Those resources contains the actual font mode (font weights, src, unicode range etc). The theme loads the main css font file (e.g: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family unit=Open+Sans:400,600%7CTenor+Sans) which contains the font-face rules and various info regarding the font fashion. The actual font files are and so fetch from their designated URLs. You should see the following URLs inside the main css font file.

                          https://fonts.gstatic.com/due south/opensans/v15/mem8YaGs126MiZpBA-UFVZ0b.woff2 https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/opensans/v15/mem5YaGs126MiZpBA-UNirkOUuhp.woff2

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,
    Yes I understand, if you follow the same steps I did above do yous get the same result?
    Some other choice is to endeavour calculation the font weight in directly at: enfold\framework\php\font-management\course-avia-type-fonts.php
    on line 726, await for:

                          'Open Sans'			=> 'Open Sans:400,600',

    and modify to:

                          'Open Sans'			=> 'Open Sans:300,400,600,700',

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Howdy,

    Thanks for the update.

    I don't see any errors related to "Open Sans". Information technology's loaded over HTTPS or at least relatively.

                          <script blazon='text/javascript'> 			if(!certificate.cookie.match(/aviaPrivacyGoogleWebfontsDisabled/)){ 				(part() { 					var f = document.createElement('link'); 					 					f.blazon 	= 'text/css'; 					f.rel 	= 'stylesheet'; 					f.href 	= '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open up+Sans:400,600'; 					f.id 	= 'avia-google-webfont'; 					 					document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(f); 				})(); 			} 			</script>

    I can still see the same error.

                          Mixed Content: The page at 'https://gaspar-energie.de/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet 'http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Pathway+Gothic+I|Roboto+Slab'. This asking has been blocked; the content must exist served over HTTPS.

    Did you add together any modifications in the child theme? I tin't access the files via the Appearance > Editor panel.

    All-time regards,
    Ismael

    Even if I use the opt in process for google maps, and dissalow loading google fonts. Google fonts are nonetheless loaded!

    <script blazon='text/javascript'>if(!document.cookie.friction match(/aviaPrivacyGoogleWebfontsDisabled/)){
    (function() {
    var f = document.createElement('link');

    f.type = 'text/css';
    f.rel = 'stylesheet';
    f.href = '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family unit=Open+Sans:400,600';
    f.id = 'avia-google-webfont';

    document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(f);
    })();
    }</script>

    How can i remove this?

    best regards

    [av_privacy_google_webfonts] – allows a user to disable the utilize of google webfonts in his or her browser. If you enable it and reload the page this is notwithstanding in the code: Is it still loading the fonts or is the condition looking for cookie and fires if no cookie is institute? `<!– google webfont font replacement –>

    <script type='text/javascript'>
    if(!certificate.cookie.match(/aviaPrivacyGoogleWebfontsDisabled/)){
    (function() {
    var f = document.createElement('link');

    f.blazon = 'text/css';
    f.rel = 'stylesheet';
    f.href = '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family unit=Open+Sans:400,600';
    f.id = 'avia-google-webfont';

    document.getElementsByTagName('caput')[0].appendChild(f);
    })();
    }
    </script>`

    How can I test this?

                          <!-- google webfont font replacement --> 			<script type='text/javascript'> 			if(!document.cookie.friction match(/aviaPrivacyGoogleWebfontsDisabled/)){ 				(function() { 					var f = document.createElement('link');					 					f.blazon 	= 'text/css'; 					f.rel 	= 'stylesheet'; 					f.href 	= '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:400,600%7CAntic%7CCaveat:400,700%7CVarela+Round'; 					f.id 	= 'avia-google-webfont';					 					document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(f); 				})(); 			} 			</script>

    Is this ok with DSGVO?
    Why there is a link to google? I think i must upload the font parcel on my server via enfold?
    What have i to do exectly?

    Next Question:
    How tin can i embed youtube videos and be ok with DSGVO?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hallo,
    erstmal danke, das Theme das ich von euch gekauft habe, ist sehr toll und macht Spass damit zu Arbteiten.
    Ich habe das Plugin "DSGVO Patron" gekauft (Mit diesem WordPress Plugin werden externe Ressourcen auf dem eigenen Webspace zwischengespeichert, regelmäßig im Hintergrund aktualisiert und von dem eigenen Webspace in dice WordPress Seite eingebunden. And so wird umgangen, dass der Seiten-Besucher Ihrer Webseite die Inhalte unwissentlich von einem Drittanbieter lädt und dice IP des Seitenbesuchers an den Drittanbieter übertragen wird.) und nun kann ich die Schriften nicht so wie bei anderen Themes einbinden.

    Laut Plugin Entwickler müsste ich dazu diesen Code entfernen und die Schriften müssten als CSS eingebunden werdne. Ich kann ihn nicht finden. Bitte können Sie mir helfen und den Code entfernen oder mir sagen, wo ich ihn finde.

    ++++++++++++++++ bitte entfernen ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    <script blazon='text/javascript'>
    if(!certificate.cookie.match(/aviaPrivacyGoogleWebfontsDisabled/)){
    (function() {
    var f = document.createElement('link');

    f.type = 'text/css';
    f.rel = 'stylesheet';
    f.href = '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oswald%7COpen+Sans:400,600%7COregano';
    f.id = 'avia-google-webfont';

    document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(f);
    })();
    }
    </script>

    ###################################################################################

    Hello,

    I'm having some problems with my bold and italics since the most recent Enfold update. Because the assuming and italic fonts for Open Sans were not available by default, I added them by calculation the post-obit code to my functions.php doc:

                          add_filter( 'avf_google_content_font',  'avia_add_content_font'); function avia_add_content_font($fonts) { $fonts['Open Sans'] = 'Open up Sans:400,400i,700,700i'; return $fonts; }

    And so I added the following to my style.css doc:

                          potent { 	font-family unit: Open Sans, sans-serif  !of import; 	font-weight: 700 !important; 	color: inherit !of import; }  em { 	font-family: Open Sans, sans-serif  !of import; 	font-weight: 400 !important; 	font-style: italic !important; }

    This was working not bad until I updated to the almost contempo version of Enfold (v4.iv). After I updated, everything turned to Helvetica, then I went back into my General Styling tab and inverse it back to Open Sans, but at present the css I added isn't taking. Everything with a strong tag is using Open up Sans 600 rather than 700 and everything with an em tag is forcing an italic rather than pulling the italic weight.

    I'm not certain how to go it back to how I had information technology before and whatever assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Or whereever (line xy) you have loaded the other font combine those rules to 1:

    And by the mode:

    The font added through this code tin can exist institute at the bottom of the list ( non sorted in alphabetical order )

                          add_filter( 'avf_google_heading_font',  'avia_add_heading_font'); function avia_add_heading_font($fonts) { $fonts['Source Sans Pro'] = 'Source Sans Pro:300,300i,400,400i,700,700i'; $fonts['Roboto'] = 'Roboto:300,400,700'; $fonts['Open Sans'] = 'Open up Sans:400,400i,600,600i,700,700i'; return $fonts; }  add_filter( 'avf_google_content_font',  'avia_add_content_font'); function avia_add_content_font($fonts) { $fonts['Source Sans Pro'] = 'Source Sans Pro:300,300i,400,400i,700,700i'; $fonts['Roboto'] = 'Roboto:300,400,700'; $fonts['Open up Sans'] = 'Open Sans:400,400i,600,600i,700,700i'; return $fonts; }
