This Page Needs to Be Reloaded Before You Can Clip It Reload the Page and Try Again

This article covers:

  • what to do if files yous add to your Clipchamp video load slowly,

  • what to do if a specific file doesn't load (you might see a sad face up or an unchanging 0% loading percentage),

  • what to practise if the whole projection or all of your files don't load when you reopen it (you might get stuck on "loading your avails" message).

__________

When you add media to a project, a loading symbol and per centum may announced:

If your input file is a supported file type, this symbol disappears later a short amount of time once your assets take loaded.

If your input file is an unsupported file type, Clipchamp converts it behind the scenes and then that you tin use it in your project. This conversion step can take some time, depending on the file'south size and resolution, and the CPU and graphics card of your computer. This might be why you need to await longer.

If loading doesn't progress at all, information technology's possible information technology got stuck. Try reloading the page or come across other tips beneath.

If video files are not loading at all, an option to try is to catechumen them to mp4 using a compressor tool (like Handbrake), save them, and then add together these files into your Clipchamp video.

What to do if the project is not loading at all

When you open up an existing Clipchamp video, sometimes a loading message appears saying "assembling pixels" and you need to look for the project to load.

If this message doesn't get away afterward a short amount of time, please try the following:

Option i. Refresh the page

Either right click > reload, or use the reload button of your browser to reload the page Create is in. Often this solves the trouble, and the avails load immediately, especially if the problem occurs when you start open the project. Brand sure your internet connection (Wi-Fi) is active when yous exercise this.

Option ii. Reopen the project

Try going dorsum to your Projects Folio (by clicking the Clipchamp Create logo in the acme left of the screen) and so reopening the project.

Selection 3. Gratuitous up retentivity

Try closing other browser tabs and applications to free upward retentiveness on your computer.

Also make sure at that place's enough gratuitous disk space available on your reckoner's internal HDD or SSD, which is required for temporary projection files and infinite during the video processing and exporting phase. The available free space should be more the size of the video files yous're using in your project. Then effort reloading the project.

Option 4. Disable other browser extensions

Sometimes Chrome or Edge extensions can interfere with Create if you have them installed. Nosotros've seen cases where the Google Translate or VidIQ extensions have caused problems. Privacy plugins such equally Ghostery or Adblock Plus tin interfere too.

To disable extensions in Chrome, open a new browser tab and go to chrome://extensions/
Uncheck the "Enabled" box next to the extension y'all want to turn off.

To disable Ghostery, click the Ghostery icon in your toolbar and cull "Trust Site".

To disable Adblock Plus, click the ABP icon in your toolbar and choose "Disable on this site".

Once these are disabled, refresh the Clipchamp project page.

Selection five. Log out, clear the cache and restart your browser

If the above steps don't piece of work, try the beneath steps. All the same, make sure y'all still have your original files (the video, audio, and prototype files y'all added to your project) as you may need to relink them when you reopen the project.

  • Log out of your Clipchamp account.

  • Clear your browser enshroud (in the "clear browsing data" menu choose All time and click "Cached images and files")

  • Restart Chrome/Edge.

  • Once Chrome/Edge has restarted, reopen Clipchamp (go to app.clipchamp.com).

  • Log in again and open up the project.

Option 6. Site information immigration (Advanced)

An additional option to try is to delete the site information in the Chrome/Border Developer Tools and reload the Clipchamp folio afterward. This leads to all video editing and processing files getting reloaded so that projects can open correctly once again. Yous might have to relink the media assets in editing projects later this process.

a) Click the 3 dots menu icon

b) Click More tools, then Developer tools

c) Click the Awarding tab at the top, then on Articulate storage in the menu that comes upwardly on the left

d) Click Clear site data downwards the bottom

e) Lastly, refresh the Clipchamp page and attempt to open the projection once more

If you however experience loading problems subsequently trying these steps or can't load files or open your project, please contact our Support Team using the chat icon in the bottom right.

Issues with some computers and project lengths

You might be having problems because the video processing is computer-intense and is taking up more than resource than the computer has available.

This depends on the length, format, and file size of the videos you're adding to the projection compared to the amount of gratis retentivity, blazon of graphics card, and CPU ability your device has.

If you lot have access to a unlike computer with a unlike CPU and graphics card and more memory available, you can try opening your projection on it instead.

Note: To do this you must bring your input files with yous, please see working on a Create project on a different computer.

Alternatively, you can endeavour breaking up a longer editing project into several shorter ones and come across if that makes it load properly. You can create a copy of a project via the Home Folio.
